What type of learner am I?

I am the type of person that learns by seeing and doing. I can do anything if I am shown how. I also learn by listening and then repeating that which was just taught. If I just listen and do not apply what I have just heard then it will be lost and so will I. I am very efficient when I am hand on. I am very bad about reading just out of a text book, but I am very interested when a teacher can put emotion/or an experience in what he or she is teaching. Relating things to real life experiences helps me remember things better for recall purposes.

Notion of readiness

I want to be able to teach a kindergarten or 1st grade class. I believe that before a child enters my kindergarten class he or she should be ready and able to understand what I am going to teach.

Shitty First Drafts

I just read "Shitty First Drafts" by Anne Lamott. I found it very ironic how you think that writer that are published have the same issues I have about writing. I never thought that they would have to write 2 to 3 drafts before even coming up with something to write. Even now I find myself stumbling over words to type, knowing now that professional writer have the same problems kind helps. This article has given me a slight boost of confidence, that I should worry about what to write, its just the 1st draft.

All about me!!

My name is Pam. I am a mother, a student, a wife and an employee. I have a wonderful 3 years old that I love dearly. I am a full-time student a Texas A&M Corpus Christi. I have been happily married for about 7 years to a wonderful guy. I currently work as a pharmacy technician at a local Heb.
My reasoning behind all that I do, is to better my future for me and my family. I truely believe that I must show an example to my daughter to better her life. I want her to know that anything is possible if you put your mind to it and are determined to work hard for the things you want in life.
