picture

The picture put in a place where the water rushes up to the rocks and crashes amoung them. where the sun beats down on me as I lay my body on the warm sand beneath me. As I look up to the bright, blue sky reminding me how blessed I am to be living i such a beutiful day like this. the slight noices I hear as I lay my head down to sleep

lesson plan

What makes a great lesson plan?Well I think a great lesson plan is writen to the the person that will present the lesson. If that person whom is doing the lesson can understand and follow thru with the descripition of the plan. I think a leson plan should have the the following: purpose, focus, objectives, materials listed, teacher imput, a guided practice, independant practice and a closure.

plans change

Today I had the attention to get up spend time with my 3 year old daughter. Then I was determined to get outside and mow the yard. when I walked outside this morning it was raining.I was not able to do the things that I had plan on doing to the yard and it needs to be done bad. I relized that in life this Happen to me all the time. I have plans to go out to a movie or hang out with friends and something comes up. it may be dissappointing at first but you move on and how you move will determine the rest of your day. As for me, I was able to enjoy a movie that I have been wanting to see and finish up some last minute homework. the day turn out to be wonderful despite the raining weather outside.

reaction to a student

I saw examples today of a teacher response to a students reaction to a paper grade. How to approach the situation if I were ever to come across. I found that when a student is upset about a grade the best way of handling it is to let the student calm down first and then talk to them...according to the age level. If a youger student were to approach me with a reaction to their paper or grade I would have to help calm them down. I belive that talking out a problem with a student and listening to what the have to say shows the student that you care about there opinion and about them. A great way to get a student to do better is by showing the postive in their writng and incourage them to do better. By telling a student that he or she has did this and that wrong, just points out there faults and may not encourage them to continue writing.

U-tube

I like the video with the kindergarters. I want to teach this grade so I found it very interesting. I liked how the teacher had the students display their work in front of the class and had the other students critic the story. I also liked how that the teacher ahd them recall what they just heard or what they understand of the story that was just read, helps with comprehension. I foundthe steps in the 1st grade video great. I like that the students were free to write where ever they were comfortable. I also liked taht they were paired up to read each other stories.
