reaction to a student
I saw examples today of a teacher response to a students reaction to a paper grade. How to approach the situation if I were ever to come across. I found that when a student is upset about a grade the best way of handling it is to let the student calm down first and then talk to them...according to the age level. If a youger student were to approach me with a reaction to their paper or grade I would have to help calm them down. I belive that talking out a problem with a student and listening to what the have to say shows the student that you care about there opinion and about them. A great way to get a student to do better is by showing the postive in their writng and incourage them to do better. By telling a student that he or she has did this and that wrong, just points out there faults and may not encourage them to continue writing.

U-tube
I like the video with the kindergarters. I want to teach this grade so I found it very interesting. I liked how the teacher had the students display their work in front of the class and had the other students critic the story. I also liked how that the teacher ahd them recall what they just heard or what they understand of the story that was just read, helps with comprehension. I foundthe steps in the 1st grade video great. I like that the students were free to write where ever they were comfortable. I also liked taht they were paired up to read each other stories.
inspiration
I am inspired every day by my daughter Braylee. She is 3 years old and she is the reason I am able to desire to do things. I have choosen to get an degree in education so that I am able to work while she is in school then after work be able to spend family time with her. She has inspired me to finish school that we as a family might be able to have a better life together. I realize that this may sound simple but she does.

Reflexivity
What I am so proud of of this assignment is that I actually did not rush to do that I made time to express what I wanted to say about Mrs. Ymbert. I am the biggest procrastinator that I know. I rush to get every assignment in and don't really put forth a great effort. I know that I do this but time and time again I find myself short on time to start or finish up a project.
One thing from this assignment that I foud exciting was that I actually got a chance to talk to a teacher that is teaching the grade that I desire to teach. I got to find out how her everyday goes and what she had been through to get to where she is now. Her experiences are not that different from mine on my journey to become a kindergarten teacher.
One thing taht I found difficult was being able to express what I wanted to say in the paper. I am not a strong writer. I want to write like I talk. Its very hard for me to put word down and have them sound right, but allowing more time to concertrate helped me able to find the structure that I think I found in my paper. Back to giving myself more time to prepare for the assignment may have made the difference.
What I would consider a lesson for life is that not evreybody may agree on what to say or write but allowing the time and patients to listen or give yourself can make all the differnce in the world to be able to express yourself.
I arrived to this conclusion by experiencing the difference because I allowed myself to take the time to write and express what I wanted to say. thus concluding that I feel better about what I wrote and think that my reader will be able to understand me.

Healing
My card was about healing. "My willingness to forgive begins my healing process. I allow the love from my heart to wash through me, cleansing and healing every part of my body.I know I am worth healing,"
I read out loud that my healing is already in progress, while I read this my class clapped after I was done. It felt a little weird but not to bad. I am used to talking to a class or answer question to a class. I really didnt give to much into the clapping of my class mates. It was nice to hear but really I was fine with or without the clapping. Thanks to all that clap for me.
I believe that this card does relate to me, because I am one that does easy forgives people. I move on after one has done wrong to me. I belive that no one person is perfect, so if someone is to mess up, it our responsibility to forgive them. don't get me wrong there are somethings you can forgive but you may never forget. but for you to move on in life and be able to enjoy you have to release the unforgivness and move on. I truly belive this and thus my healing process has already began.

Ray and Strickland
In ray, it talks about writing processes and workshops, it tells how to focus on pieces of writing and the process of writing. I believe that you once you find something to write the battle is fixing up the writing that your message is clear for the reader. In this work shop it deals with breaking down the processes and finding ways as teacher to guide student to find meaningful writing projects.
In writing workshops it is important that student are allowed to create and express idea in their writing. Students are stuck thinking that they have to write a certain way. Allowing them to decide on the topic to write makes them more intrigued about the writing .Bringing a little of what their interested in or something than is important in their lives any allow them to express more freely in writing. It is also important to allow time to write, practice makes perfect and I truly believe that. Also giving the student high expectation on writing that writing is not an option it a must.
The kinds of writing that Ray talks about in the workshop are writing to live and writing a composition. I see that when I write I think as if I am writing to live. I never express myself in writing other then what I am required to do( writing to live). I want to be that teacher that allows freedom in student to choose their topic of writing, to show them it’s just about surviving but about expressing oneself.
In Strickland, the writing workshops are shown in similar light. They both talk about how writing is not engaged in the class. That teacher focuses more on the process of writing rather than the creativity of writing. Both talk about stragies how to write and steps that should be dome, Allowing adequate time to write an students allow the choice to write about a desired topic. Strickland talks about how the response of the teacher of a student’s writing is important to the growth of the writer. I believe that you learn from what you do, if you do not apply you’ll never know how you did. I think that a student that has applied to writing then goes to the teacher to go over it, The teacher may help the student to grow with positive criticism.
